There is a lot of debate and discussion about SB3. This bill will provide nearly 1.5 billion dollars to sports complexes in Jackson County (Kansas City Chiefs Stadium and the Kansas City Royals Stadium) along with St. Louis City.
TAX CREDIT FOR HOMESTEAD DAMAGE (Section 135.445)
For all tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2025, this act authorizes a taxpayer to claim a tax credit in an amount not to exceed $5,000 for the insurance deductible incurred by the taxpayer during the 2025 calendar year as a direct result of a disaster for which a request for a presidential disaster declaration has been made by the Governor.

HCS HJR 73 -- REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH CARE
Upon voter approval, this constitutional amendment prohibits abortions, except in cases of medical emergencies, fetal anomalies, rape, or incest. In the case of abortions performed or induced because of rape or incest, the abortion may be performed or induced no later than 12 weeks gestational age of the unborn child. The amendment prohibits public funds from being used to pay for abortions; prohibits the use of surgeries, hormones, or drugs to assist a child with a gender transition; specifies which circuit court challenges shall be brought to; and holds that any person who intentionally or negligently causes damage to another person relating to the provision of reproductive health care or the performance or inducement of an abortion is liable for damages and subject to suspension or revocation of his or her medical license.
