I was born and raised in the state of Louisiana. My family raised cattle, horses, and had a commercial poultry farm. Growing up my family taught me the value of hard work, to respect the land, and to contributing to our community.
After graduation from High School, I went on to spend nine years in the Oil and Gas Industry in the Gulf of Mexico, North Louisiana, North Dakota, and South Texas. I held various roles in this industry from mechanic, Oil and Gas Production Operations to Pipeline Operations. Then I went on to work in the logging industry in Louisiana for a few years hauling timber to various papermills and lumber mills.
In 2019 my wife and I moved to her home state, Missouri. I began work with the Amish in Bowling Green, Missouri and Pleasant Hill, Illinois until going to work for a Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Center in Hannibal, Missouri, helping both men and women become free of addiction.
In 2020 I was offered a job at the Northeast Missouri Sheltered Workshop (2 Rivers Industries, Inc.) as the Assistant Director and in 2022 I became the Executive Director. At the Northeast Missouri Sheltered Workshop, we offer dignified and meaningful employment to individuals with disabilities in Marion and Ralls County.
During 2022, I worked diligently to pass “Proposition R” which was voted on by the Citizens of Hannibal. This proposition allows for 2 Rivers Industries, Inc to receive $1.80 from each citizen of Hannibal by way of their utility bill. This money is used to create jobs, maintain and operate the Workshop, pay the employees, and further the recycling program with the City of Hannibal, Hannibal 60 School District, Marion County residents and many businesses across the County.
In 2024 I decided to run for Missouri State Representative of District 5. As I looked around, I noticed that our government was becoming more and more controlling in different ways. Abortion became a right in 2024 and should have never been. Government control in our public schools was growing in a terrible way. I became a licensed Foster Parent and learned that Children in the Foster Care system were not being taken seriously, nor were their biological families. Children in Foster Care were being lost in the system, over 1,200 children were found in 2023 that were lost within the system. Taxes becoming higher and government growing bigger while citizens interest growing smaller. I was burdened by that, as are many people, and I decided to go against the grain, put myself in a position of scrutiny, and judgement because I want to see a change, a change for what was right, a change in the Missouri Foster Care system, a change in Missouri Education, and much more...
